I recently bought a Benchmade Osborne 943 from a gun store. The owner said it was owned by a guy in the Green Beret special forces. He said they gave these to the military but weren't released to the public. Has anyone ever seen one like this?

No, I haven’t seen this model but I like it! Is this a drop point blade?

Didn’t see the other pics. Lol. Yes it’s a drop point.

The 943 was a regular production model up until 5-6 years ago maybe. Came with black aluminum scales rather than the green as on the 943. Looks like this one just has aftermarket scales swapped onto it.

Just found the scales there MetonBoss Titanium Benchmade Original 940/943 Scales, Reptilian Engraved. How much do you think the knife is worth?

Unless you're a gold member you can't ask that. Sorry. However you know what the scales are worth, add the price of the knife unmodified and go from there. One last thing- always buy the item, not the story.

Payed a good price for it so which is good

The first sentence MAY be true, as I'm sure you've figured out by now, the second sentence is pure unadulterated BS.

Blue axis lock with a crusader deep carry clip and tacky snakeskin/crocodile scales? Lol uh, no. That sh*t is tacky as hell, sorry. No way any special forces unit commander arranged for that monstrosity.
