I've got this BM 723SBKD2-701...BUT, Every where I look to find any extra info. on it....I can only find the OLIVE handle one, and 700 where made....

Mine is a BLACK Alum. handle, and the blade says "11 of 200"....

Can any of you give me any info. on this run ? It's BNIB....And Man, I would love to stick it in my pocket and carry it, but...I want to know what I got first.....INFO. PLEASE ....

Are you sure it's a 723? The original Pardue 72x patterns were from around 2000. IIRC, it was the knife of the year for maybe 2000? Like you, I've only seen olive handled ones or US flag versions with a drop point blade lately.

I'd ask over on the BM factory forum. I once had a pre-prod 720 that was black aluminium with a black engraved butterfly. The only way I coud get any info on it when I picked it up was to ask on BM's site. If you can get an old BM catalog from that year you may get more info.

google - 723SBKD2-1001-to see if that's it. 200 run. None of the old ones were in D2

The 72X series is still somewhat popular, it's got the axis lock and with the D2 would make a good EDC. If ya wanted to sell, I'm sure someone would grab it,;) but the correct box would help. I say pack it, especially if it feel good in your hand. Should last ya a good long time.

The box does say..."723SBKD2-1001" So, I was mistaken..and if your wanting one..email me and i'll give you some info.
