Help a fellow kife knut out.

It's a superb knife. What is the blade steel of the knife you have seen?
I have the 943 Osborne which is a clip point in S30V, with black aluminium scales. It is one of my favourite knives for day to day use. It is a slim knife that is very comfortable to carry and use.

If it appeals to you, you won't loose. I am currently carrying the same knife, but with a D2 blade and carbon fiber scales; it is one of my favorite. The blade is long enough for most chores, the lock works great. I have had mine for over 2 years and it has no blade play, yet is very easy and smooth to open. As Kiwck said, it is a very thin knife, mine measures 0.408", not including the clip, and it is fairly light weight. The handle is very comfortable to use and the built in guard also covers the sharp corner on the back of the blade to keep from tearing up pockets. It is an excellent choice.

Wow, with D2 and carbon fiber scales I'm guessing that it was limited sales about a 2 years ago? I'm still looking for a folder with D2.

Then the BM 960 is what you want. Just slightly smaller than the 94X series. It is thinner than the 943 and feels good in the hand. It is also a very attractive knife. And D2!!!
If you want to go a little bigger, the 710-D2 is amazing, just bigger.

Thanks, there is a 710 D2 on the buy soon list. I will try to get my hands on one of the BM 960 and see if I like it in my hand. It does look really nice.

I carry the very same 940 Osborne axis lock every day. The first time i viewed this knife I was reminded of R. Lee Ermeys statement (ugly enough to be a modern art masterpiece)Just ugly enough to keep me comming back to the shop until I bought it, now i'll never be with out one, smooth opening and perfect utility shape blade easy to keep sharp, just plain love this knife:thumbup:

P.S. Blade steel on mine is 154CM

Do NOT hesitate, go get yourself a 943 right now. You won't be disappointed. I have the 943 in 154CM with the limited edition red handle #76 of 500 and the axis is smooth as silk. Then again, the 710 in D2 is in my pocket at this very moment, so.......awww heck, go out and get one of each. That would be the responsible thing to do. :)

Cheers,
Jon

I have the same knife. I really don't care much for "Gentleman's" folders. The blade is not wide enough for my fat thumbs so I tend to cut myself more often when opening it too quickly. Good quality knife though, just not for my big hands.

Yes, the 941D2CF was limited, mine is 235/500. After reprofiling the edge, it has served me very well.
