I really like that version
Either you have HUGE hands or that knife is really a miniature. I have read so much about this design that for a while I considered buying one... but damn... it is SO small...Love mine. Been eyeballing the 940-1 latelly but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

You didn't quote anyone so I don't really know if this comment was directed at me (being the previous poster). In that case, no, I am not joking, In the picture I was quoting the knife seems small to me.Not sure if you're joking or not, but the -1601 is the same size as the -1 or the -2 for that matter.
Pretty sure this was mine. My hands are XXL and the shoe size is 11. What's weird is I'm only 5'6" tall. Not an Osborne but here is a full size Crooked River for kicks and giggles.Either you have HUGE hands or that knife is really a miniature. Thanks for the comparison, now I can picture the real size of it as I do own a full size Griptillian. I guess I will have to withdraw my comment about being tiny! Seems to be a pretty decent size.
Oh boy... that explains everything. LOL. I have that very same knife in my hands right now (the Crooked River) and I do understand the problem. I have a size 8 glove...Pretty sure this was mine. I have to agree. In that pic the knife really does look small and I would have avoided purchasing that knife but Mike's comparison pic solves that dilemma. The -1601 will be my next Benchmade, for certain. You didn't quote anyone so I don't really know if this comment was directed at me (being the previous poster). Thank you for that Mike. I'm usually not too picky about grips and sizes but some of the BM's look like they might be too small. Nobody around here sells them so I have to research everything before I order online. The osborne is a med size knife, it has a delicate feel in hand. So light. But it feels natural and smpoth to operate. Its a classic
