I just purchased a Benchmade Osborne "limited edition" knife with winewood inserts. I paid a pretty penny(anniversary gift) for it. . . Is this something that will hold it's value?

I've never felt that any of my Benchmades were a waste of money. While others here report of fit and finish issues I've never had a problem with any of mine.

What model Osborne is it? The Opportunist (BM 440)?

The model number is 960SWW. The only thing that I have found similar to this knife is a 960 with a black inlay.

Nice purchase. I put the 960 in the "gents knife" category.

If you don't use it and the stars are aligned right (seems that model has a good horoscope, though), it should keep its current "on-street" value (not MSRP). It might rise, but values are sooo "popularity" dependant.
