Hi,

I just bought my first Benchmade Pardue knife and the first thing I noticed is the thumb studs are very small.

Has anyone else had this issue and is there a cap kit or way to make it easier to open the knife?

Thank You

I'd suggest calling BM. Depending on the Pardue you have, they may have something a hair longer that would fit.

If it is the Pardue 530 I agree with you. On the Grivory handle standard version I went ahead and trimmed back/ramped the scale on the one side to give better right thumb access. The 530 carbon fiber version currently being offered by REI has slightly reshaped scales which give a bit better access to the thumb studs, at least to my thumb.

They awful small. First thing I did was remove the clip and attach a lanyard. This makes it the lightest and slimmest folder I have. I'm trying to get use to the thumbstud but may call Benchmade to see if they offer a solution.
Thank You
