Im currently bidding on one because its going for a low price and its a first production run knife, what do you guys think of this knife? Its at like 20 bucks right now, just thought id ask a little before i get into bidding with it and keep trying for it, but it looks decent and looks like a okay knife.

That's what I think too...

hey im buying it, if for anything just for collection values as long as i can get it for a decent price. Its discontinued and a first production so its got to have some collect-ability.

For what it's worth, first production runs don't sell for any more than unmarked blades here on the forum. Actually some people prefer not to get one since it means less writing on the blade. That's just to say I wouldn't bid more money just because of that.

Sort of in a way, but not really. Just my experience and what I've read over the last few years specifically in regard to Benchmade knives. Just because they are First Production, it makes no real difference to the vast majority of the knife community. In fact, some First Production models have sold for a bit less than their regular production counterparts, in part due to the writing on the blade. No always the case, but seems to be with this. It's all about buying whatever you like.

First production run makes me feel special lol.. stupid i know, its at 20 bucks right now, dont see how it could be a bad deal its a new knife ya know? Looks pretty cool id have fun edcing it, not my dream knife but hey if i get it for 20 bucks i wont feel bad about using it.

I have a mini-pika II. I like it.

Blade shape is very good. Looks good. Works well.
Feels good in the hand.
Like the deep pocket clip.
9Cr13MoVCo alloy is close to 440C in performance.
Full liners make it really solid, but still well balanced in the hand.

I like the knife. I agree with the others: I wouldn't pay any extra for a first production. Buy it because it's a good knife, not for any perceived extra value of "first production".
