Benchmade Pika full size PE on eBay. ALL from China. How can I tell if real?

For a while now I have kept looking on eBay for the Red Class full size Pika. All I ever see on there are from sellers in China. Sometimes I see the Pika II from someone here in the U.S. but not the full size Pika.
Any clues about how to tell if the ones from China are just a knock off, or the real thing?

Try Bernard Levine's forum area. Don't know about modern folders, but there are some well-connected and well-informed people in there, who ought to be able to help you.

Ebay makes it kind of tough to authenticate products, and if you're concerned about it, then it's worth getting a reputable buyer/dealer to help you.

Benchmade themselves might be able to help, too. They're just as concerned about knockoffs, and may be able to advise on spotting fakes.

Your best bet is to contact Benchmade directly and ask them.

Isn't the Pika discontinued? If so, then any new Pika from China are probably being manufactured without authorization or knowledge of Benchmade.
