** SOLD **This is the pinnacle prototype, I have had this for 7 years. Blade is absolutely flawless, handle has some minor scuffs on the non-clip side, you may be able to see in the picture, this is the way I received the knife. Knife has never been carried or used or sharpened. Blade is marked "prototype June 1998".

I am sure the handle could be reblasted and you would never know the difference. I have the original box marked prototype, I think was signed by the designer, but i can't verify that. (also I can't make out the last name)

I have not seen these around very often, I saw one this April at the o.k.c.a. priced at 150.00, but not in very good condition and no box. Not sure of the rarity of this particular prototype. My price 200.00 now (169.00) delivered. Satisfaction guaranteed or we undo the deal !

Payment: paypal add 3%, postal money order or cashier's check. ** SOLD **

Nice knife. I love mine.

For what it's worth. Mark McWillis was a VP of Benchmade many years ago. He was around for the development of the AFCK and I guess the Pinnacle (later renamed Mono-Lock) as well. I had never heard anything about him being involved in the development or design of the Pinnacle, but it's entirely possible.
