My Presidio has been around the horn a time or 2 and was starting to show a little wear from it. I decided to give it a new life yesterday by bead blasting the scales and blade and throwing a sick edge on it.

Here is the before pic

I know the look is not for everyone but I think it looks pretty cool.

I already wanted one of these. Now your killin' me. Looks like some stuff is going up for sale.

It looks really good. Too bad Benchmade insists on making everything black, they could learn something here.

I am really impressed at how well the butterfly and the other markings stayed on. I love how it looks now

That's a really nice look for that presidio.

You would be amazed how much material you have to grind off of those blades to get rid of the logo. I tried once to remove the HD branding on a 13960... There was no getting rid of it. I literally reground it... looked fine, when I bead blasted it, the logo came back... faint, but there. So I just went with the grainy regrind look with it so you can't see it. Something about bead blasting just makes it show up really well.

Wow I love it, email those pictures to benchmade. Id be more inclined to buy that than the black one.
