Benchmade has announced that it is dividing its product line into 4 distinct classes. Here they are:
Red Class- this defines the company's affordable line of knives, the bang-for-the-buck models. For instance, the forthcoming 10200 Mel Pardue Ambush folder is in this class.
Blue Class - denotes the standard Benchmade offerings, the price points we are all familiar with. Example: 921 Warren Osborne Switchback.
Black Class - will represent those offerings designed/manufactured for/marketed/sold to LEO/military organizations. In this class you'll find the 5000 Mel Pardue Auto Axis Lock
Gold Class - is the limited run pieces, often collector grade items. The 710-02 McHenry & Williams Axis Lock is the most recent example of this.
I will have more information on this incoming from Benchmade. More info later if I didn't cover all the bases.
