Benchmade pushdagger

BM did a sweet job on 175BT, 440C blade with a thin molded sheath for concealment.
Get one if you can I highly recommend it, Its perfect for a back-up knife.

I noticed the 175 in my '04 Benchmade Military/Law catalog a few months ago, and it looks to be an excellent push dagger, but since they are totally illegal here, I can't have one.

That’s a good point, make sure Its legal in your state first, I know California is pretty picky when it comes to knife laws. :grumpy:

Handled one today. The sheath had good retention, and the quality is fine (you'd have to buy CRK to beat BM these days), but the knife itself leaves a lot to be desired.
I think they went too far with the handle shape. It looks cool, but it doesn't feel cool. Too round at the back. Your hand doesn't have that much curve. Decidedly NOT solid or comfortable in my hand. I didn't feel like I had good control over the blade, which is chisel ground, btw.
Just one person's impressions, but I pretty much hate everything about this design. That doesn't mean everyone else will hate it, but I recommend that you handle one before you buy.
