Just got a mini adamas to use as a beater and there was a good bit of vertical play in it(thinking undersized pivot, if you crank it down the blade still shakes 2mm or so). Sent it back to Benchmade and it came back cleaned and smooth, but still with the pivot problem. I called them up and they were very friendly about it but still I was a little surprised about their lack of QC. Is it common for benchmade these days? Also has anyone else gotten sick of folders in general? I keep one with me so I have one with me all the time, but I got a kabar short on sale and wow, for everything except pocket-ability, it just blows any folder out of the water. Dont need to worry about a lock closing on your hand, dirt getting stuck, broken springs, much more durable steel, easier to sharpen. Really just better in almost every way for beating the shit out of. I mean I can get s30v sharp, but give me 15 minutes and 1095 and its in another league.
