Benchmade question

How do you correct a super stiff opening BM?
Side screw is loose and still EXTREMELY tight, liner lock is also very tight.

I just had this problem. When loosen the screw, the handles stay compressed. Gently pry the handles apart a little bit to relieve the tension.
