Benchmade Question

I have an older Benchmade 9100s Auto Stryker that came in the old style blue box, not the newer type box I have seen on Ebay. These newer knives have a black pouch included with the knife. Does anyone here know what year Benchmade started to included this pouch with their knives?

Mmmm, that's an interesting question.

I'm thinking late 2004, but I'm probably wrong.

Let's here from others when they think the practice started.

(Kinda like getting a bit of jewelery - flare, that pouch)
 
It was only a couple years ago. The new ones I have came wrapped in plastic inside the black bag.

It was in 2004 I think but not late 04. I bought a mini-Grip from an online store in March of 04 and it came with one but a friend bought a mini-Grip locally in April 04 that did not have one. So, my guess is that his was a little older than mine and was in store inventory for awhile. But I'd guess around the beginning of 04.
