My wife got me this knife for my birthday. So i've only had four days, but man I love this knife. It is scary sharp. I use my edc's to cut car drive belts at work and compared to others i've used it goes through them like hot butter, seriously.
Of course you can't hardly beat the axis lock and the blade size is very nice. I love the shape of the blade too, nice curved belly toward the tip.
Excellent knife.
 
Steven beat me to the photos...mine's the same and I love it. Cross a 520, large 551 Grip, and a 940, and you have a winning combination. Since I got my 950 the 520 hasn't seen much pocket time! :thumbup:

I like this. My next folder upgrade from a CRKT Kasper is going to be a Benchmade, and now this model is a very possible choice.

Since I got my Rift 950, it has been my EDC, along with a slipjoint of some type.
 
Since you asked, I do have photos of the 950 and 940. Notice how similar both are...but very different at the same time:

Yes, I replaced the clip on the 940 with a split arrow.

Big weight difference. The 950's 4.8, compared to 2.9 on the 940. That's substantial, but the real difference is between the blades. The 950's is more like the large Ritter in surface area.

But, where the 950's built for HD use, the 940's much easier to carry in the pocket, and between 3.4 and 3.6 on the Rift still offers a lot of blade for its size.

Did I say how much I like Osbornes?

With that large weight difference how does it carry? Strider Smf?....Naw can't be that big? ..can it? Is it manix big in the pocket? Or more like a SS ATR?
I am caught between the Rift and the Phoenix?

I dunno about those guys. Maybe others do.

Being a BM collector, it's nearly the same size and dimensions as the 520 Presidio, which is a little heavier with all that aluminum, but I can say it carries well in my jeans pocket due to the handle scales being smooth in the center, unlike the 520.

That design difference will save many pockets!

The Rift 950 carries nicely for me. I notice a large stockman much more in my pocket than the 950.
