Benchmade Rift 950 Question

Everyone, I have recently joined the ranks of appreciation for some nice folders. I just got in a Benchmade 950 PE and had a question. When the blade is engaged, there is a wee bit of play which doesn't seem right to me. Looking closely there appears to be one bushing on one side between the blade and the liner, but not on the other side. Is this normal for this model? It looks as though this could be the cause for the play. I already tried adjusting the pivot, no luck....still a bit of play.

Sever, You should be able to see two bronze washers on each side of the blade when the knife is closed, any way you could take a picture?

Thanks Shawn. Definitely only one bronze washer on one side. I got it sold to me on ebay as New in Box. It does appear very new. I wonder if it could be a flaw in assembly. Should I contact Benchmade directly?

sometimes the 2 washers are different sizes, sometimes they are different thickness as well and might be harder to see. usually one is smaller on the locking side. the Rift is an axis lock though so the washers should be the same size. email benchmade their customer service is top notch. they will make it right
 
Mine has washers on both sides that are easy to see. Also, it has no side-to-side play.
 
Thanks for the replies guys. This puppy is definitely missing a washer on one side. You can see where the liner is rubbing the blade and leaving some marks. The side with the washer, the blade is flawless with nothing rubbing. I am going to arrange a return to the seller and just order one from one of the sponsors. Love the knife. I just want one that is right!
 
If there is only one washer then the blade play problem is simple. Get a matcher and it should go away.
 
Update....I am sending the knife back to the seller. Meanwhile I found a good deal locally for another 950 from a dealer. This is how the knife is supposed to be! Smooth and solid.
