I tried searching for a review on the 552 but kept getting due process. It looks like a sweet knife, anyone have one? how do you like it?
thanks for the help.

Just got mine today, VERY well done!

This should get ya started reading.

I am slowly but surely moving my old tacticools, getting psyched to carry my Sebs and Strider every day. When I get to that point, two knives will not leave my collection, my Military, and my Ritter Grip. Great knife, I would have liked to get one in M2.

I have 2 RSK Grips and 2 RSK mini-Grips. The oldest pair (stonewashed blades) is about 18 months old. They're great knives. I use them for outdoor knives when we're camping or hiking. Doug Ritter's blade shape is my all-time favorite for a folder. The only thing I would change about the 552 is to give the scales a finer checkering pattern like the minis have. They are comfortable to hold and use just as they are, however.

The blades have all held up well... no chips or damage from the camp site usage they've gotten. They haven't gotten dull, so I've only had to touch them up a bit. Very sharp and ready for the Sharpmaker's 30 degree setting. My black blade mini-RSK is as sharp as anything I have (Spydercos included).

The locks have always been very dependable, even when they get a bit wet or dirty. They're easy to clean with some water, a little compressed air, and some Tuff-Glide.

Very light weight, if that's a concern to you. I'm very happy with all of mine. I just wish the minis had another 1/4 of gripping space on the handle. That finger guard under the AXIS lock gets in the way of a 4-finger hold for me. But that's not a concern on the 552, just on the minis.

Thanks guys. ill have to save up for this one, i just bought a couple spydercos and my budget is low. I have a mini grip in d2 and although its a quality knife, i too find the handle too small for my hands. I've held a full size grip and thought it had a great feel, so when i saw the RSK blade design i knew it was probably a perfect knife for me.

jaraxle,
I agree the minigrip feels small in my hand, too. I find mine feels better with a paracord lanyard attached. http://www.chrisreeve.com/knotright.htm
With a lanyard attached, it fills the hand a little bit better, it also makes for some faster grabbing from my pockets or sheath.
That is unless, you don't like lanyards.

Edit: I've just bought my 8th Ritter Grip.

i've gotta homemade lanyard on my 556, works out great, pulls out of my pocket real fast
