My benchmade 51 ' s latch doesn't hold securely so I sent it in.

How long does it usually take for them to get it back to me?

Not to over promise for them but I have had as little as a week and a half from them. Who knows, maybe I sent it in on a good day and they could be pretty backed up when you send it in.

Off topic: I have a 51 (flipping it right now) and am just curious if you know what the problem is so i can prevent it.

I sent in a Griptilian and from the time it got delivered to them I had it back in under a week. I would not expect this every time though.

Sent in two knives which they received early last week, Monday I think. They sent them back out last Thursday. Still waiting on them courtesy of UPS...

I bought it on another forum. The seller neglected to disclose the issue. It didn't work when I got it. I'm guessing he bought it that way. It just slips up and off the end of the handle.

Very fast, less than a week both times I called upon their services.

Warranty and repair page on their website actually has a turnaround time counter. Last I checked it said four days. They give you an easy way to know right there.

I sent in a Kulgera to repair broken Omega springs. They had the knife tuned up and returned in 10 business days.

My experience with BMs CS has been very prompt service & return. I've never sent a bali in but all the things I've sent have been back in my hands in less than two weeks.

The hell, all you people and fast service. As much as I love Benchmade, its usually been 3 weeks for me.

I just sent in a 710-1401 and personally I don't care if it takes a week or a month or more. I have other knives that feel neglected and love the pocket ride.

Just a quick question too...How long does it usually take to get an email answered? I sent an email October 19th and never heard back yet.

It says right in the auto-reply email "Important Note: Depending on the nature of your question, please allow some extra time for us to respond and we appreciate your patience. It is not necessary to resend your email. Thank you!"

Is this a normal response time? I'm pretty patient and don't mind waiting though.

Just a few weeks ago I sent in a Volli for warranty work. I shipped it 2 day priority and they shipped it back UPS. It was back in my hands inside of 8 days.

It took 16 days for me to get a reply. Customer service is a busy place.

This was from their online form. Not from email.

I sent email 30th September and second one about week ago.
Still waiting for response.

Benchmade's email service is one of the worst I've ever seen. I've sent them emails in the past and have NEVER received a response. Call the customer service number directly. They are very responsive to that.

Yeah, the Email correspondence is a bottleneck. Typically though, if you have an issue with a knife- you can just fill out the work order form (explain in detail what you want done)and mail it. That's all the Email response tells you to do anyway. No need to Email unless asking for clips.

Quick update: they emailed me back and when I responded I was immediately called back within a few minutes of sending my email. Excellent customer service.

The current turn around stated on BM warranty page is 2-4 Business days but in my case, last month, the same day - in the morning and out in the evening.Amazing,as one of my knives was a discontinued knife that needed a new blade.
