$267.75 seems excessive for s30V and CF/G-10 handle.

It was mentioned somewhere that if it doesn't specifically spec DLC then it's Cerakote. I don't recall what the old BK consisted of but it's no more.

For discussion sake I think the $2-250+ for Emerson 154cm and black slab G10 knives is excessive but it doesn't stop the hordes of people forking over the cash for them. $250 would have been a nice round sum but this is still a reasonable buy to me.

Emerson Knives are notoriously overpriced considering materials and QC.

This Rift is priced the same as the 940-1 which has S90V and true CF.

I do like the Rift design and G10/Carbon Fiber together and yes I would have preferred CPM 20v or M390 myself vs S30v. That said I can get Benchmade S30v crazy sharp pretty easy so it’s a easy steel to maintain for me.

Price wise around $250 it’s a tough sale for me there’s just too many blades I like better in that price range right now so this one may not happen for me this year. Cool looking knife though.

I love black/blue scales and the Riflt is a great design. I like so many things about this blade. The price does give me pause but I’ll wait and see how I feel in a month or so. It seems that everything is limited edition/sprint run or small batch anymore. It really doesn’t mean much to me anymore but I find this offering appealing.

I like the color scheme a lot as well otherwise I would not have bothered posting. However, I still think that $267.75 is excessive. Just a couple of years ago I got a new Cutlery Shoppe exclusive 950BK-1401 Rift with Black S30V Blade and Black/Orange G-10 handle for just $163.00!

Ramzar, I have the same knife with the satin blade finish. It’s a great knife. I might have to carry mine this weekend.
