I would not be opposed to them adding the 940 series but would really like the 707 in there to pick your handle and inlay colors
I'm pretty sure they'd just have to anodize the handles and back spacer a different color... They already anodize the 943 handles black, and they've done some special editions in the past. I agree there would be a premium to pay, but many of us would be willing to pay a little extra for a customized 940.That is going to be a bit different than what they do now. Both the Griptilians and Barrage are all plastic handle which are easy to make in a variety of colors at no extra cost. The 940/943 are not all plastic. Not only will they need mill out different colors I bet the price would be high.
The one thing about the program is you wind up paying around top $$ retail/over MSRP for the current offerings.
How much would you expect to pay for a custom shop 940/943?
Actually I wish they could do this with almost all their knives but I doubt they ever will.

YES, I'm in for a customized 940 but they have to add a few more steels ( M390, M4, 3v) and micarta+G10 scales for a truly customized experience. I don't think Benchmade realizes how many they could sale of PROVEN knives instead of hoping to introduce a few new models each year, that apparently are not liked by all, even hear on the Benchmade forum.
