I am interested in getting a Skirmish. I'm already one of the Benchmade faithful, looking for reviews etc. Thanks.

not to be a dick but use the search button. You will find tons of info.

I like my Skirmish, it has a nice feel to it. It feels much more like a real knife, than smaller tactical folders. I like the titanium handle, the frame lock and blade shape. The Skirmish is easier to carry than I thought it would be. Negative: The clip is larger than it needs to be, IMO and there is not a lanyard hole.

It's too big to be an EDC for me but it feels great in the hand and very well made. On the down side the lock is hard for me to disengage, if I used it a bunch I think my thumb would be raw. If you are looking for a knife to scare the bad guys this would fit the bill :)

I've read those reviews, just looking for more, that's all.

The skirmish is nice for me to carry. The large handles fit wonderfully in my hand. I like my knives to open as smoothly as William Henry so I took it apart and buffed to pivot area on the blade. Raised the shoulder as well. Wicked sharp and smooth as butter. The clip rention was stiffed by removing the clip and carefully bending it.

EDC is nice, cuts really well and overall is an excellent knife. If you need more, just let me know. :)

The 630 was my main EDC folder for almost a year. The handle is very comfortable and the blade has a useful shape. I think only the clip should be improved, because it's too big and shiny. It is too visible and it is not the knife, I want to show for sheeple.

Hold one in your hand before buying one online, if you can. Everybody knows this knife is big we've all seen size comparisons, but I don't think one can really appreciate just how big this knife is until you hold it. The grip is rather different than most ordinary knives, partially because of the size, but mostly because of the angle. It's almost like a pistol grip or saber grip. I like big knives with long blades as much as the next guy, but personally, the 630 just isn't for me, because of the grip. A DR/CUDA would probably suit me better.

I'm not trying to disuade you. It's a great knife. Well built, top materials, very solid. It just doesn't fit my hand right, which is why I reccomend holding one before buying one sight unseen.

I love my 630. I hardly ever carry it because of its size, but it's only the second production knife I've bought simply because it was too cool not to have (the first was a stiletto Cuda Maxx). Anyway, the 630 gives you damn close to custom quality for a very nice production price. If you don't mind "big" in a knife, the 630 is a winner.

I don't own one but I handled one a couple of times. Seems like a very well made knife. However, I advise you to handle first. My problem with it was the chamfered round opening hole -- I found it to be slippery, and as a result, more difficult to open than, say, a typical Spyderco.

I have 3.
Its the best collaboration knife Ive come across in a LONG time.

I would check one out before buying because its not your typical EDC.

The only nitpicky thing I dont like is the clip.

Love it as an edc. The boys at Benchmade really got the framelock mechanism figured out with this one. Only complaints have already been mentioned and are absence of a laynard hole and the clip. A foldover clip like on the 420 would be absolutely great!
