Was in a shop the other day and saw one of these.

Looks like a great knife! Little large though.

For those of you with them how are they to carry?
General impressions?

Any issues with them?

Again, I'm smitten, just want some input before I buy it and replace the Emerson I've carried for the last 10 years.

Thanks!

I have been carring one for about three weeks and am very happy with it.I like a big knife,I carried a AFCK for about 8 years untill it was stolen from my luggage.
It carries very well.I have used it for every thing from opening boxs to cutting rope and it has kept its edge.
It is very lefty friendly.
I own eight or ten quality factory and custom knives and expect this to be primary EDC.

I love it. I bought another one just because the 1st one was so nice. Its a big knife, but pretty thin and not uncomfortable in the pocket. YMMV. I love big folders.

I'm sorry, I don't do impressions, my training is in psychiatry... :)

Anybody remember that one?

For it's size, it carries very well-like a much smaller knife. I really like the blade finish. Sharp as all-get-out, and the recurve edge is a great slicer. Here are some pics to show size comparison.

I'm also a bit curious as I've ordered one and should have it by Tuesday. What I'm curious about is the lockup. I had several 750's through the years and never really had one that had really decent lockup. I think I've read that BM really got the lockup issues straightened out with the 630 and I'm curious to know. Btw I've not actually seen one and certaintly not been able to handle one.

I had a Skirmish for a minute and had to let it go. It is beautiful and very, very well made but it is way too big for practical EDC IMO. It's not like I don't have big knives, but the Skirmish is so pretty and so thin that I kept getting tempted to carry it around. To me this is a problem because there is no way that I would ever take out a knife that big in an urban or semi-urban setting. That knife is big enough to make a knifenut do a double take, let alone sheeple. I still love the look and finish of that knife though. If BM made a 3.5" or even better, a 3.25 or 3" version, I would be on it like white on rice!!!

Lockup is perfect on both of mine.

I had the chance to play a bit with TIR's 630 as a pass-around, and I found the Skirmish lock action to be outstanding. Lock-up was the same whether eased open or popped open. Easy one-hand open and closing.

I just finally gave in and bought one, and boy am I glad that I did. It is quite a beautiful knife, and its size is large but not impractical. The knife is very well balanced, and it carries and handles well for its size.

The only reason not to get one is the head-turning factor. I'm not sure who I would actually want to show this knife to...

Regards,
