Looking for suggestions for some type of "work friendly" type instrument that I can carry from meeting to meeting without scaring the sheeple or them even noticing... more in plain sight type of tool... Saw the Benchmade Pen, thought wow now thats a great start.... (If I cant carry my Glock, or a nice edged steel....then I need something just incase)

Started looking and see there are a few other Pens that are available as well....

What are peoples suggestions (The benchmade SS is nice, but I still think it has too much of spike look that if I was too pull out to sign something with it in front of a Client, Id probally be hauled to HR and fired......

Thanks in advance

Thanks much to both of you.... I think I will have to wait till the Perrins are back in stock.... I really like the looks of those, nevermind the price ;)

work somewherelse :(

it's hard to immagine somewhere so sheeped out. i had a suit an tie job, for awhile, where we had to leave our guns in our cars, but even there i didn't have to worry about my 710 clipped into the pocket of my slacks.

honestly, i don't think too much of the Tactical pens. they seem like a gimmick, really. marginally better at stabbing people than a regular pen at x40 the price

if i were you (i know i'm not), i'd focus more a concealment than conformity. maybe a pen knife or the two pen butterfly knife. something that is actually a weapon.

i've looked at 4 or 5 different types of those tactical pens. i was interested in the idea, but all in all... it's just a freakin pen dude. get a Zebra F301 an call it a day :(

good luck, man, i hope you figure out a solution. seriously.

The SF Pen is pretty cool, it'll fit almost any ink fill and it looks decent too.

Uh... you could spend all that money or you could just buy a handful of Zebra 701's at your local Office Depot. They take the standard Zebra refill, the pens are 5.99-6.99 a pop, and best of all, IT ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE A PEN. This is what I carry on duty and write with on a daily basis. It writes great and I have no doubt it could put some serious hurt on someone if I had to.

Here's a link to some blogger who reviewed it, complete with pics: http://berserkersgearpage.blogspot.com/2008/01/zebra-f-701-stainless-steel-pen.html
