Hey guys,
I know there are a few experts here who are wizzes at modding knives and such...but I just wanted to share my recent exploits.

One of the knives is another member's, Dynasty, who had asked earlier how to make scales for his Apparition. He ended up sending it to me and I made him some Cocobolo scales.

The other is my own 913 Nitrous Stryker which I enjoy. However I dont know if Im a fan of the g10 scales. They're a bit too glossy/cheap plastic looking for me. Which is somewhat disappointing. BUT, I went ahead and made some Cocobolo scales and applied a light staining on it to darken it slightly more.

The other Apparition is mine, that I did maybe 2 years ago out of Bloodwood. I've learned a lot about woodworking since then and Dynasty's Apparition turned out a lot better. But I still love it and how it looks.

So just wanted to share with you all!

wow and wow
both are really nice but i love that apparition....... and i dont usually like bolsters made from different material then the rest of the handle

Very nice, and yes you have learned quite a bit. The most recent apparition you did turned out beautifully. I love that knife so much that I have it in three different configurations. The Cocobolo scales give a whole new dimension to it though!! It looks awesome. Dare I ask how much a set of Cocobolo scales would cost me?????

Cheers,
Jon:)

Great job!! I've got both of these knives and my 672 is quite an "ugly duckling. I might try something like that myself.

Where did you get the thin scale wood. All of the scales I've seen are aroung 1/4" thick (or greater).

Thanks
