Now this is a cool thread. The Stryker is a favorite pattern here, though I personally only have one to my name presently. My wife has three (jealous) and I'll have to get some pics of hers to share later. At least I've got what I think is the best, though that's like picking your favorite child. It's always the one that's with you at the moment. 😏

Blues Blues , you're making me want to get all my classic, disco'd BMKs out for a group photo now, too. Maybe there's a thread for those here somewhere. If not, there should be.

Three of the ones shown in the image are gone. One sold, two gifted. I was just too lazy to take a current image. LOL.

Around half of my BMKs are classic, disco'd models and most of those will never go anywhere as long as I'm still here. I've only sold off maybe four that I can recall--one a collectible BlueStar that went to a member here that appreciated it, and 3 serrated versions of models I like that were backed up by plain-edged ones. I've toyed with selling my large/small plain-edge DarkStar pair as they don't get carried and just hang around to admire. I have a real right/left brain conflict going on with those two--makes sense to move 'em but afraid I'd have those regretful pangs if I did. 😞

I've never regretted giving away the Dark Star or the Leopard Cub...nor selling the balisong. The Cub went to the son of an LEO I know online as his first "real" knife. The Dark Star was a gift to a forum member for having given me a couple of good deals I appreciated. And the balisong, I couldn't resist the offer.

Life's too short to worry about it...but yeah, there are quite a few knives I'll never part with.

As an example, the AFCK was co-designed by Chris Caracci. (I didn't know it when I picked mine up.) But Chris was my primary instructor at my first SWAT school back in the late 80's or so. So, there's a lot of personal meaning with that knife as I carried mine on the job quite a bit back then.

I've had quite a few knives come and go. Still have probably way too many. There's only a couple that I have any real regrets about parting with and that's largely grounded in wishing I'd used 'em instead of protecting 'em which would have kept 'em with me. I've got no regrets about a fair number I've gifted to a friend or one of my sons. I probably will sell the DarkStars eventually (and not rue the sales) but the AFCKs, TSEK, 710's, 705's, Strykers, and other classic BMKs are keepers, great knives, increasingly hard to replace, and deserve to get carried and used.

The AFCK has always been my favorite. I still carry this well worn one every day.View attachment 2164434

I only have the old school AFCK liner locks in M2. Never have owned any other iteration but the originals. Definitely my favorite Benchmade.
