Benchmade torrent vs. BM Barrage for best man

Vs.
All black Barrage BM580BK-F6

So I narrowed it down to these too. I like the clean look of the torrent but no axis lock. :(

If you know of a better choice that is about $100-120 please post it. thanks all
 
Barrage. Love the Axis lock. Are you going to have them laser engraved? It looks like a pretty cool service.
 
getting first initial and last name engraved. its $8 on the site.
Is there a torrent axis lock some where?
 
I'd say the 707 Sequel or the 746 Mini Onslaught would be better choices. Both of which have much nicer fit and finish as well as performance, and both of which I think are much nicer looking, but that's personal preference. Same, if not better price too. I'd go with the Mini Onslaught out of the two, personally.

mini onslaught's blade looks a little broad for an EDC .
how is the 530 mel pardue coffin handle?
 
Of those 2 I would choose the Torrent. I think it is a classier looking knife with the G10 scales. Now if he doesn't mind a big knife then you could go with the 581 Barrage which is a big step above the 580 Barrage. Have you considered the 790 or 940/943?
 
I want to be closer to $110.

My two favorite EDCs are Benchmade mini- grip or the 707 Sequel. Great size knives for jeans, shorts, or slacks.

Actually, you'd be surprised at just how great the Mini Onslaught is for EDC. It's one of my favorites in my rotation. My girlfriend got it for me as a gift and I didn't think I'd like using it at first because it's not really my style of EDC, but once you carry it and use it you really start to appreciate it.
