I sold off all I my knives awhile back when my interest in collecting them went away. Last night I was crusing YouTube and found a video o the new Benchmade auto triage.

I had wanted the standard one since it came out, but never bought it. Now I'm really considering picking up the auto. It is priced at $199.95 while the standard is $129.50.

Does anyone own one of Benchmade's axis autos? Would it be worth the extra $60 or so to get the auto?

Thanks

I don't oen a triage, but I handled my first ones this weekend, and the advantage the auto has over the manual one is the saftey hook cutter locks into place. Thats the only thing "better" about it imo. The auto was super fast and tight lockup, but I don't see having an auto better in any way.

I have handled a triage at a local gun shop. It is just as fast as an auto, so an auto is really not nessisary.

Not worth the extra money. I use my manual one at the FD every shift and opens fine with a gloved hand. Auto one is heavier and not to mention some state laws thatll make it an issue.
