I have been thinking about getting a 915 Triage in orange and and have not heard much about them. I wanted to know what you guys who have one (or more!) think about them should I get one or look into a different benchmade (under $150).

Thanks, Nate

Not a fan of the steel. Doesn't feel great in my hands, most seem to like it though.

Mine lives in the center console of my truck. I see it purely as a tool rather than a collectible knife. Steel is nothing special but it sharpens up well but edge holding probably won't be as good as some of Benchmade's other steels. The textured G10 is too rough for me to carry as an EDC as it shreds trouser pockets. I did EDC it for a while but in a pouch rather than clipped. The cutting hook works very well and saw a bit of service cutting off bandages when I was taking my dad to see a wound care specialist (all of us played with the hook rather than using trauma shears that would have worked better but would have been less fun).

It is perfect for what I keep it for - a first response / back up knife in the truck.

I'm a firefighter in Melbourne, Australia, and recently purchased the Triage. I really like its handling for EMT style jobs though prefer the Gerber hinderer if I need a blade while wearing gloves.

As an aside, I was looking to find info on sharpening the Triage that led me to this site. Lots of great info here and I'm excited to learn...

I am looking not for a collectible but for an EDC what would be a good benchmade EDC? I know their griptilian line is pretty well known as an EDC. I just like the functions the triage has to offer.

They are all good, it just boils down to personal preference. I would recomend the 950 rift or the 940, both have an awesome blade shape and the 940 disapeares in the pocket being so slim and light.

The 'Triage' is an interesting knife. Designed for best use by EMT and first responders, a nice trick is the included rescue hook. The choice of N680 could have been a nod for the need to sharpen it easily, but at least make the steel the same as the hook, which is in 440C, heated right it's good stuff. Anyway, for loss prevention the orange color is cool, (and easy to spot if dropped) but I prefer black as this would be less flashy carried in a velcro pouch and not in my pocket. While I've handled the 915 I find the opposed bevel on the 916 interesting, as it lends strength, yet still offers a sharp edge. For a specialized design this is a neat knife.

Got one from my daughter for Christmas, just love it, kicked out my Ritter Grip in a blink, while I know I'll miss the Ritter's thinner edge, this one is just something different, lower point profile suits me a little more;

Thanks for your helpful info and giving me different models to check out I going to go to go the 950 route the blade shape will be more suitable for EDC tasks.
