Hey guys im looking for a nice big folder under $100 and these two cought my eye. Can you guys give me some advice on which one you think is a better knife? Also, if you know of a better folder for under $100 please tell :)

I'm not a big fan of the Pentagon Elite for a few reasons:

#1 It's comboedge only
#2 It's zytel handled
and #3 SOG's proprietary lock really doesn't impress me that much (sorry, SOG!)

On the other hand, I own a TSEK AXIS and it is a fantastic knife (especially for the $87.50 it goes for at www.newgraham.com *wink*). It is incredibly smooth, sharp, ergonomic, and downright sexy. 440C is one of my favorite stainlesses and all 4" of it on the TSEK is quite well done.

Moral of story? I vote for TSEK.

They reall are 2 different knives altogether so its hard to make a direct comparison.

The PE 2 is a lot bigger than the TSEK so if you need the size for whatever reason then that would probably be the better knife for you.

For me personally though I'm a big fan of BM's AFCK in any of its forms. The TSEK has the same handle but diff blade shape. So for me the TSEK would win this battle.

I vote for the SOG Pentagon Elite II because I own one and believe it to be a decent knife in its price range. I hope you like big folders.big

How about a Spyderco Police model? Or an Endura?

If you need a BIG folder, how about a Cold Steel 2X Voyager or a Vaquero Grande?

Between the Pentagon Elite and TSEK - I'd pick the TSEK.
But I also agree with glockman99... you may want to check out the Endura (Although, between the Endura and TSEK, I'd still go with the Benchmade TSEK).

I'll leave out the obvious plug...;) ... and say handle them both.
I have Arc locks and Axis locks, and like both. Some Axis I like better than some Arcs, and some Arcs more than some Axis. They are similar yet different.

Try them both out, then decide.:D

I do not have a Pentagon, but I do own a Sog X-Ray Vision (Arc Lock), used to own a Night Vision (Arc Lock), and regularily carry a TSEK AXIS.

For me, both locks were equal - different approaches to a similar concept, but equal in function. The Arc lock operation made "flicking" the knife open a tiny bit easier, but not enough to make a practical difference.

I really appreciate the TSEK as an EDC/utility knife. Feels sturdy, tight lockup, no blade play, and a very functional design in both handle and blade. The steel liners under the G10 scales make for a solid feeling handle. Plus, the later models let you position the clip for any carry configuration you prefer. I set mine for tip-down carry, and it carries fairly deeply. Given the price one can be found online, a pretty good bang for the buck.
