Benchmade Vex?

I have been looking for a partially serrated knife to add to the mix. I currently alternate EDC between a Paramilitary and a Tenacious, both plain edge. What I can't decide is between the combo edge Tenacious or the combo edge Vex. Both have everything I want, tip down carry, G10 scales, good lock and decent steel. I was floored by the quality and build of the Tenacious, and the Vex seems to be it's closest competitor.

I'm leaning toward the Vex since I am already running two Spydercos.

Anyone have any long term experience with the Vex? Good or Bad?

I've had a plain edge Vex for about a year now. I use it as a beater. I do yard work and often the Vex is used for digging up weeds. I like every thing about it. It has a great pocket clip that seems to improve the grip on the knife. The lock up is very solid. The Spydie hole make openening very smooth. Love the blade shape. Overall it is stout knife but carries well.
The only thing that I would improve is the blade steel. Would love to see it in 154 or D2. Then again it would cost way more.
It is the only China knife I own. For political and personal reasons I will not buy anymore knifes from China. Taiwan is a different story. I view Taiwan more favorable than China.
Sorry can't help on the Tenacious. Never held one.

The Mini-Griptilians come in 154, like them so much I picked up 2 and may get more :p.

I'm glad I found this thread. Just yesterday, I was trying to decide between a Vex and a Tenacious (I think partially serrated on each). Steven--in what way is the Tenacious a better knife? The specs are so similar to me.

The ergonomics of the Tenacious better for me. The knife feels great in the hand.

They are both very good knives for the money. They both came with even bevels, very sharp edges and zero play.
