I have messaged benchmade but I have not gotten a response yet.

Would benchmade warranty a bt2 coated knife that has the serrations covered? I have tried to sharpen the serrations but it would not come off easily when i try to sharpen it

I bought it off second hand for a good price so I cannot refund it or exchange it.

It is in ok conditon with some rubbing of the blade.

I'm not sure I get the question.
If you're asking whether they'll sharpen it: no, they don't sharpen any of their serrations.
If you're saying that the blade is defective because the coating covers the entire serration pattern, then they will replace it I'm sure (if it is in fact defective. What model is it? It might be intentional) BT2 isn't really wear resistant though. You should have no problem at all putting an edge on, even if the BT2 is directly on the edge.

It is a model 350 mel Pardue.

I got it for a cheap price second hand and I did not notice the serrations were covered with the bt2 coating in my enthusaism to get a new toy.

I was hoping that I could put the value of the knife towards an afck in M2 if it was a warranty.
