Benchmade Warranty

I have an Benchmade Adamas that has the WORST angle on the blade EVER. I received it with the tip basically sharpened to a chisel grind and I only have a whetstone so it's not possible for me to fix it as there is way too much material to remove to get the grind correct. The rest of the blade is sharpened great, I can cut through stuff easily but the tip can't cut through shit, I can stab the hell of out things but the tip cannot cut.

So my question is, will Benchmade fix this for me if I send it in? Or is it considered a sharpening mishap and they won't fix it.

Here are some pictures, look at the tip, one side you can see more of the blade, the other side you cannot, obviously, these pictures are extremely unhelpful but maybe someone has an idea to fix it?

Benchmade has a GREAT warranty, but their angles tend to be all over the place (My griptilian has the same issue you have but not nearly as pronounced.). I'd shoot them an Email, worst they can say is it's not covered, and recommend you send it in for Life Sharp. I'd recommend using one of the Forum knife sharpeners (ask around) and even though it'd be slightly more pricey you'll have a FANTASTIC edge/angle.

Thanks, I just sent them an email, hopefully the warranty does cover it, don't mind paying a few dollars to get it to perfection.

Quick question. How would I mail my knife to them? Package in a USPS box with postage and send it to them?
- Call them and find out where they want you to send the knife. I just sent my Kulgera in to replace broken Omega springs. I simply used a small cardboard box and shipped it in. Had the knife back in a little over a week.

benchmade has had the best customer service and warranty in my experience you will just have to pay for shipping i believe

I just got my 580 back from warranty repair (the coil spring was misaligned) and they ended up replacing damn near everything except the scales and pocket clip, all for free.

I ship folders in a small flat rate usps priority box for $5.35
Good luck!

Glad to know this, and glad they took such good care of you. I haven't bought a Benchmade in a while, but have been looking at some today.

I hope the 2 presidios that I ordered are in perfect condition otherwise I'll have a headache :(

WOW! a 100+ knife that is outdone by a 30$ knife, that must have been frustrating. I trust both are good knives,
and the brawler must be a great knife, for the money.
