benchmade

There is tons of information about Benchmade knives. I do believe this is the wrong forum to post your question. Your thread will be moved soon to the general discussion forum IMHO.
I would suggest you to use the search function but it has been (temporarely) disabled by the forum owner.

http://www.benchmadeforum.com/ could be the easiest and fastest way to get your questions answered.

good luck

Benchmade knives is more of a General Blade Discussion topic but frankly your question is too vague to be answered.

Let’s see if we can find the right forum …

I'd go and fully explore the Benchmade website first. I mean they are great knives for the money and offer a wide selection of knives for virtually every type of user. Their Axis lock system is fantastically strong and I find it a great locking system to introduce friends to who are less apt with knives. Other than that, go to their website and read up on everything possible.

I think "buy them" is just about all you need to know.

Pick out one you like and you won't regret it.

Carried a Benchmade for years and recently replaced it with a Microtech Ultratech with a Tanto blade. My opinion is that it is a better production knife, the tolerances are tighter. But then again its a bunch more money. Fast answer is that Benchmade makes a great knife.

I own a BM Nimravus (fixed blade) and a newly acquired (2 days ago) BM Nitrous Stryker. The Stryker is an assisted opening model. I have several high end...MOD, Microtech, Emerson...tactical knives and I do honestly believe that BM for far less price produces AS GOOD of a knife as the others. I am a machinist...albeit far from a knife expert...and I am VERY picky about my tolerances and fit, form and function as well as what I want in design and longevity with how a knife is made. I can honestly say the BM Stryker has now become my foremost EDC and if I may also add, any USA made BM will carry EASILY the same quality as the 2 I own. VERY durable, rugged and well made knives. I am very pleased and I am certain you will be as well!

i'll go one further. just go ahead and by the 710 in d2 now. if you dont now, you're gonna want one later.

On Benchmade's web site there is a "Knife Wizard" Give that a shot. It will help you find what you are looking for.

I've been a Benchmade fan for a few years now and love not only the high quality, but the excellent customer service.

My current fave BM made knife is a HK 14205, which is one of the best production knives I've ever owned!

As a start, anything with the Axis mechanism should do, there are both 'standard' and 'mini' sizes available to choose from.
