Hey all

Been looking at the Benchmade 100SH20 in H1 steel, that is the pre '06 model before they switched over to X15 T.N steel. I like the design on it specially the bullnose blade-design, and the sheath looks cool AND functional.

Cant find many reviews on the knife, but read here on BF that there had been rust issues with some, probably cos of the non-H1 scale screws.

My question to you guys, is it possible to compare the 100SH2O's H1 to Spyderco's H1? I mean does it have the same specs and performance and Spydies salt series or what? Id like to know what to expect from the steel before i order one. Is it also work-hardened or does it behave entirely differently?

If anyone has any feedback BM's H1 or just the knife in general id greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance guys!

We've had H1 100SH2Os on our rescue boats for a few years. They have a hard life for a knife. Out in salt spray, then back to the boat house without a proper rinse in fresh water.
I have found that Benchmade's H1 performs the same as Spyderco's.
