I've been undecided about these since I first seen them. The more I look at it though, the more I want one.If it didn't have the Harley logo & the skull graphics it would be a no brainer.

Pros-Approx. 4" D2 Blade,Axis-Lock,TU clip,damn sexy knife!

Cons-Harley logo & Skull all over it.

They're about $160 give or take a few bucks.This is a real head scratcher.:confused::D

What do you think?

love the design hate all the logos so ill never get one

Even if i loved harley's I hate that kind of advertising stuff. Poser crap imo

the hardtail is fantastic knife, my friend has one where he replaced the skull scales with just flat black G10, the knife reminds me of a Much stronger Buck 110, it is one hell of a knife for the money, if you want to get rid of the scales i believe STR has done a few in the past, but im not sure if hes doing custom scales anymore.

Cheers!

That's a good idea.I wonder if the HD name could be sanded off the blade, without scratching it up terribly?

What he said.

It's a Modernized 110. Easily rub off the "Harley Davidson with some 4000 grit( or whatever is closest to what it's finished at or how you want it) Wet/dry metal paper. and the scales are easy enough to deal with.

If I had the dough I'd buy and carry it. No different than the Emerson skulls. Besides I ride a police bagger and probably most of you don't! keepem sharp

I think once BM started to put Harley logos on knives they REALLY cheapened their image.

I realize that HD stuff is "mostly" good but the fact that about 80% of the other knives with Harley logos on them are junk it makes people think these are junk too.

I think all the Harley/Benchmade stuff looks too much "billy badass" and not enough "normal knife guy"

Of course, there are probably a lot of office workers who think they are super tough and ride a Harley and just have to have one of these knives so they can become their own Biker gang. :)

I like the design, not because it looks tough (to me), but because it looks like an updated Buck 110. I like just about everything about it other than the skull logo, but that doesn't bother me very much. The mini is much more like my preferred EDC size.

On second thought, the skulls aren't really that bad(they are kinda like Emerson's).I'd definately have to rub off that Harley name though.I don't have anything against Harleys,it's just I don't have one & don't ride,so I would feel kinda corny whipping this knife out in my khakis & camos.Does that make sense?:o

What up with the HD bashing. Thery're good ol' american company that wanted to license some quality knives for a change. The hardtail looks awesome to me, skulls and all. That being said it does seem a little pointless to slap a HD logo on the 940.

Thanks for starting this thread, I have been looking at the 13150 mini-hardtail. I love the looks of this knife, I love Benchmade knives and I like the skull fine. I like Harley's, but don't have one, I will sand off the logo on the blade. Looks like a real nice knife for an Axis lock, different. I hope the edge will be 30 Deg. inclusive, but I know it won't. (One of my pet peeves) D2 is a bear to reprofile.

I really like the looks of the knife and can get past the logoing. Most I'd spend? $80 maybe.. but not $160. I can get 6 110's for that.

Yea, but it's a Benchmade with an Axis lock. Smooth as silk opening and closing. :D

Yeah, I saw a watch with the Porsche logo on it that looked nice, but I'd feel like a poser wearing it without owning a Porsche. Strangely, I don't feel the same way about tge HD knives. But I do understand how you feel.
