Benchmades stand on anodizing...

Sorry to post this in a different topic, but I think it deserves it...

Benchmade got back to me on anodizing with custom colors...

They say that if you send them your knife, and $10, they will take it apart and send it back to you to get it anodized wherever you want, however you want...then you ship the handles back, with an additional $10 and they put your knife back together...and you still have warranty!!! YAY..

I'll let you guys know if I find any good anodizing places, I'm looking into a place thats in CA right now...

I'll keep you posted..

Ok, so im going to take my $140 knife (thats what i paid at least) Send it back to benchmade after waiting for months like a rabid monkey. Give them ten MORE dollars. Have them send me my knife back in pieces. Pay $50-$150 to somebody to anodize it. Send it BACK to Benchmade. Give them ANOTHER TEN DOLLARS. Wait once more like a diseased Occilot for them to re-assemble and ship me back my Knife? ARE YOU NUTS??!

Actually the place i found in CA told me twice that he would do it for $1.00 per handle...

I dont think its a typo...he said it twice...

I guess we'll just see what happenes...

I wont know for certain untill i get my 42, and even then, i dont want to try it on my knife...i am trying to get Benchmade to give me a defective or broken handle to test it on...

I'll Keep you posted...

And for a bright(Porsche 911 turbo) Yellow, I would wait as long as it takes...
