Lets hear it guys, which Benchmades are the favorite ones, and which do you most want to own at some time?

this is easy I'll even list them in order!

1 710
2 AFCK
3 940 series
4 550 series

What do think guys? in order of most popular on BF?

Well it my opinion anyway :p

The Benchmade 690 is the single most appealing production knife that I am aware of.

The 710 is a good workhorse folder, but quite big.

I just got a 720 and have not had the opportunity to do much with it yet. So far it feels considerably smoother and more solid than the 710.

The Griptilian series make great beaters. Best bang for one's buck in the knife world.

People seem to dig their balisongs too.

I already own my favorite, the Benchmade 49-SPL

Those are very nice! I know a guy who has one, but he won't let me take it camping! :confused: What good is a knife if you don't use it! :D Back to the question, I would like to get a 770 and 705.

BM42
BM43
BM31
BM46
BM47
BM40T

Yeah, I like the balisongs. I own a BM42, 43 and have a 31 on the way as well as a 35SPL that is a bladeforums special run from benchmade.

I have a number of the ones I already want. The 730CFHS, 941D2CF, 710-01, 960, all the KOTM series. :)

There are a few that top my list though:

705 forum knife
all of the new 690 Damascus models :) too bad I can't afford them

I love my Benchmades...my next two will be a Nimravus 145BT and a 140BT. I already have a... Griptilian 551, AFCK 806D2 and a Nimravus 145 in 440C.

Am I the only one that loves the 690? I have the 690 with the ivory scales and it is by far my favorite BM, although I really do miss my 940 which would be my second favorite.

The only one that I own is a 770BC1 Osborn. I must say that it is a very nicely built knife. I usually carry it when I am dressed up and going someplace nice. The carbon fiber handles are sweet. My only caveat is that it is on the small side but it rides in the pocket like a dream.

I have looked at some others and as of yet have not been able to make up my mind on which may be my next BM :)

MMMM...an innocent question and a billboard-size link. It looks like a cheap way to get a banner ad.:barf:

I got the two BM knives that I most wanted already, the 770 in Carbon Fiber and the afck in axis lock. This however does not there aren't any others that I covet.

The 690 and the 940 come to mind as well as the 450.

Although I just got the 770 from a fellow fourmite last night, the knife is a beauty.

The limited Edition 960 is awfully nice :)

I agree. The 690 is a GREAT knife. I originally set out to get a 710HS from reading all of your suggestions. But when I actually held the 690 I fell in love. Carried it for a long time as edc, then as a switch off with 551 as EDC until I saved up enough to get my 710HS. Now I use the 690 as my "dress" knife.

I use the 551 for my "beater." One tough cookie. OK. One tough knife.

I use my 710HS for EDC. Ohhh Yea.

I'd definately recommend ANY of them.

Wow, a lot!
  • Nimravus for outdoors use;
  • Nimravus Cub if concealed fixed blade in urbanized area is needed;
  • Pinnacle if the folder for outdoors use is needed because there are no tiny springs and is nothing to break;
  • Classic AFCK is good for this role as well and for the same reasons;
  • Axis AFCK as heavy duty folder in urbanized area;
  • Ares if somewhat more compact and strong folder for urban carry is required;
  • Griptilian (551) is my favorite daily carry knife with urban jeans-n-polo attire and IMO one of the most cost efficient folders ever made;
  • Osborne (940) as suit carry knife;
  • Osborne (770) is little gentleman’s folder is required.
There are a lot of possibilities to choose a knife for each imaginable occasion.
