Benchmark and Emerson delays????

Okay, this has prob been covered already but I am learning. Many of you talk smack about the quality of Emerson (okay, I buy your hype lads). Likewise, I like but don't own a Benchmade.

Seems when I scope out some of our favorite shoppin holes for these brands they are on back order. Emersons wait time, 12/10???? You gotta be kiddin me right!!! :jerkit:

Educate this ol' boy. Is this the norm or what? Gotta say I will not wait 1 1/2 year for a folder dudes. I will buy a ZT or MOD if I feel the need to buy in that price range before I wait a year and a freakin' half...I don't care HOW good they are. My knife is a last ditch defense mechanism in the event my Glocks (which never freakin experience failures)...fail.

For now I am stocking up on SOG's. Gotta say the Emerson's and Benchmarks catch my eye. Frustrating I can't find one to buy.

Educate.....do not hate.....this bald headed country boy.

emersons are made in batches and come in as such. I assume you are looking at yourcornerstore dates? well I learned first hand with the bob lum chinese that those are just estimates and your order could come 2 years late or 37 days early because thats the nature of production.

What Emerson model are you looking for?

everywhere I looked seemed to have quite a few EKI's is stock ready to ship.

Where are you looking? I’ve been browsing Emerson knives for a few weeks and most of them are in stock.

p.s. when you type benchmade and the spell check tells you to change it to Benchmark, don’t do it.
