Has anyone seen any of the older Benchmites, when they had 154cm steel blades? All that I have been able to find so far is the newer one with aus-8 steel. The one I did have was one of a first production run of 500 or so. Thanks for your time, Gerald

Seen em? This flock has been regularly spotted around my house. :)

The only ones that are currenlty being produced are the Red Class Benchmite II's (with the AUS8) and the 3100 Auto Benchmite with the 154CM. Both of these models have steel handles.

The discontinued blue class knives had 154CM blades and Ti handles. They pop up every now and then on the bay.

The Benchmites are my favorite small folder and I highly recommend the auto benchmite (depending on where you live, or course).

I've seen a couple of old ones kicking around a local store a couple of weeks ago. They're still out there and of course the used market should have some.

And I have the pre-production one I bought of course.

Incidentalist,
Which is the gold colored handle one third one down in the left column. It has the butterfly on the oppisite side of the blade.

oldguy,
Like others have said they are still out there. The 3100 (auto) is still being produced and sold. This model has stainless handle and 154cm. You can still find the blue titanium handles. But you have to look. Try doing a search for online dealers but before you buy give them a call to make sure they have it first

That one is an A.G. Russell LE. It has the gold anodized Ti handle and a Damasteel blade. It was a run of either 100 or 250, I honestly don't remember.

The only production version I'm missing (that I am aware of) is a full Damasteel one (scales and blade of Damasteel). It was also an A.G. Russell LE with only 50 made (I think).

Other than that there are the prototypes, with the 312 being the rarest. Far as anyone knows there is only one in existence and a guy over at the BM forums has it. It looks like a 3100, but it's not auto. Seems like they were going to go that route before they decided to do the Red Class thing.

Love the Mites!

Sorry for the double posts, but I just noticed that there is one available right now over at that auction site.

Yeah, I had one of the original Benchmites. I sold or traded it off several years ago. It was a cool little knife. I believe I bought it from AG Russell too.
