I've got a D'Allara wich i carry every day. I love it to deatch, but due to our fun circumstances here i'm looking for a modification to make the knife less visable.
The standard wire clip functions perfectly, but the knife rides pretty high in my pockets.

I would like to bend back the wire were it is mounted in the knife to create something looking like this:

This way the knife is still readely avalible but is much more out of eye sight for people.
Can this be done safely or wil the wire break or something of that nature. Or is there a way to get a wire that looks like the wire above?

Who can help me out please?

The size of clip on the UKPK and D'Allara are very different, I don't think they would switch.
Bending probably wouldn't work either. The "wire" in these clips is quite hard, and would be very likely to snap, and if it didn't it would be weakened so much it probably wouldn't work as a clip anymore either.

The only way you're going to make that clip a low rider is if you use a torch or something, and very carefully heat the area intended to be bent until it's soft enough to bend without breaking.
Then you should quench and temper the thing to make sure it keeps stiffness and flexibility.

You might want to buy an extra clip in case this fails, but if you heat it till it bends with light pressure (around 1100 degrees fahrenheit), that should keep it from fracturing during the bend. Then you would quench it in a bowl of water or something like that (immediately after heating), just to give it a little hardness back. Lastly you would put it in the oven at around 500 degrees fahrenheit for a good four to five hours, the self clean setting on an oven would probably do the trick. If you manage to make the bend without ruining the attachment point it should work pretty well.

Or just ask STR if he can whip something up, that's probably your best bet.

You would probably get away with beding it if you heat the bit you want to bend first, the clip will be shorter if you do that though.

You can use a UKPK clip and it will "fit" but it will be bowed out at the screw head. It does'nt look that bad and is funtional.
