My motorcycle forum is sponsoring a knife raffle to benefit a member who had sudden and unexpected medical bills. I am copying the information below, in case any of y'all might be interested.
The fifth knife, which will be put on the web page tonight, is a very kewl Bark River mikro with the Rainbow Tweed handle, donated by Jeff McKnight.
Possum's Place is looking for people who are not afraid to take a chance . . . especially for a good cause.
Possum's Place motorcycle forum is sponsoring a benefit knife raffle. For privacy reasons, I'm not gonna go into details, but proceeds will go to a worthwhile cause. Ya' gotta take my word -- and the word of other Possum's Place moderators - that the funds will go to benefit a member of the motorcycle community faced with sudden unexpected and catastrophic hosptial expense.
But even if I was a lying SOB (which I'm not -- at least about this) this is still not a bad deal.
Possum's Place will be raffling off 5 very nice knives by makers such as Bark River, Benchmade, and Case. Four of these knives can be seen at http://lostriders.bizland.com/kniferaffle/kniferaffle.htm . The fifth knife is en route, and will equal in quality to those listed. Tickets are $10.00 apiece, and only 100 tickets will be sold. Ticket sales will end at 11:30 p.m. CST on Friday, Sept. 17, 2004. On Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004, five tickets will be drawn. The person holding the first ticket drawn will get his choice of any of the five knives; the second person will then get their choice among the remaining knives, and so on.
To purchase a ticket, contact Hopper at sjrhopper@yahoo.com . We accept cash, money orders, checks, and PayPal. Hopper will then assign you a ticket number for the drawing, which will be e-mailed to you. PayPal payments can be made to her through sjrhopper@yahoo.com.
Plus . . . show me you ticket receipt in person, and I'll buy you a beer.
Who could resisit an offer like that?
