Just wanted to share my experience shooting my new Benelli with everyone.
First, for a mere $299.00 plus all the government fees (don't get me started on that) I am the proud owner of one of the best values out there for a tactical scatergun. The ghost ring sights are the main reason I picked this over a 870 or Mossberg.
I want to use it with slugs for pig hunting so I took it to the local range to zero the sights and see how much kick it had.
First up were the 2 3/4" reduced recoil slugs. The recoil on those wasn't too bad and I learned that I didn't have to tweak the sights at all.
Next came the 3" slugs at 25 yards. Well, let me say that "punishing" is a good word for the recoil of those slugs and that gun. Man did my shoulder ache after just two of those rounds. Even the 3" 00 buck shells felt better after those monsters.
Anyway, I'm tickled over this bad boy and I think it's gonna be perfect for getting my hog this year.
Once I get it out in the field and beat it up a bit, I'll let everyone know what I think. The only thing I don't like about it is the forearm rattled on it, and I don't know what to do. I read somewhere there is a way to eleminate it, but I can't remember where.
Thanks for reading
