anyone else notice if their hoodlums are bent to one side? i just bought mine a couple days ago and when i looked at it closer the blade is bent hard left when looking down the spine towards the tip...Brutal.

i used it anyway to try it out, see how it chopped and split wood, but i cant ge over the bent blade...especially for the price of the knife.

i am trying to take pictures beside a strait edge to show you guys what i mean. I will even take the micarta scales off to rule that out.

stay posted.

sorry about the blurry pic.

I dont know what to make of it? its driving me nuts though! the hoodlum isnt cheap either.

i took the handle scales off to rule out the possibility of the scale being bent...the handle area itself is perfectly flat, but the bend seems to start near the last finger choile toward the tip of the knife and continues down the blade...you can really tell its bent when you look at the bone scoring notch and you look down the spine.

what do you all think?

Hay all you Hoody folks out there.....are your's bent also?

GA1 send it back for a new one....you did not pay for a bent blade!

The way these things get beat up.....won't it soon be bent in a new direction anyway?

;)

I'd just keep chopping away.

Or.......maybe buy an axe?

i personally dont collect knives...i buy them and use them. If i bend a knife while using it, so be it. but buying a high end knife and finding it bent from the factory is diisheartening....its brand new...and bent.

If it's just a buck QC thing it's no big deal. Mainly just curious on how many other hoodlums out there are bent.

I am not trying to demean your feelings here. My 2cents is what you are showing is no big deal again my opinion. With that said why dont you pack it off to Joe Houser at Buck Knives and then he can tell you if your knife is out of spec?
