I like to carry the bigger knives clipped in my back pocket. It has its dangers apparently. While sitting down in my office chair I hung the clip on the arm rest. It's now bent. So looking on the Spyderco web site didn't seem so show me the way to finding a replacement clip.

Any suggestions?

Bend it back? :D

But seriously, I think you either need to call or email to order a replacement clip. Sometimes they charge for it and sometimes they don't.

Yep. For 5 bucks plus shipping they will send them to you all day long. Quite the hook up!

:foot:

"Hi, my clip bent / broke. Can you send me a replacement?" -> "Sure."

If you want to buy a clip they will quote you a price. A bit ago I was looking for some extra titanium clips and they were quoted out at $12 each.

Thats why my salt 1 is sitting here without a clip.

^ i can see myself not getting the replacement but instead buying a new knife. just another excuse to expand the collection.

I found the phone number and will call for another clip.

I'd love to buy another Manix but I just bought another Mini in P.E. and a Buck 560 dressed in all black (tonight). So, my knife money is all done for this month.

I bent a clip pretty good once, and could never get it bent back quite right so it held the knife in the pocket like it did from the factory.

Good News! I took the clip off this morning and bent 'er right back into place. Well just about anyway. The tension on the clip is lower now but that's OK, it won't fall out of my pocket and its actually a little easier to get in and get out of the pocket. I may still order another clip as I will continue back pocket carry on this big knife and I expect I'll bend it again.

Current EDC profile:
Front right pocket-Bucklocker 532 from 1991 (bobbing around with the keys and change).
Clipped front right pocket-Caly3 with full Spydie Edge.
Clipped back right pocket-Manix CE.
On the belt-Buck 110 (old 70's square frame w/ ebony inlay but rebladed with a 2008 S30V blade).

OK that may seem like to much but since its mostly about liking and using one's knives...I'm ready. Btw, I'm about to hit the woods for a hike so maybe I have enough steel on me :)

That's why I didn't buy another one. The price was getting close to being 25% of a new knife. I figured I would put the money towards something else I liked.

I usually carry 4 knives on me so don't feel too bad. At least your going to get out in the woods so thats a good reason. Have fun!
