Bent Sebbie Clip - What to do?

Caught the clip of my Large Classic on the door of a 7-Eleven recently, and it's been bent just enough that it doesn't quite ride in the pocket properly. The bottom of the clip doesn't touch the side of the knife anymore, especially when the knife is open, and it sticks in my craw every time I use the knife - which is often.

I don't know if the titanium clip will ever bend completely back - if it does, I can wait, but if not, a new one is definitely in order.
What to do?

The clip is easily removed using the allen wrench supplied with the knife.

You can remove it, put it in a vise and bend it back into shape, or
call CRK and they will supply a new clip.

I snagged the clip on my large 21 awhile back, here's what to do. Remove the clip, hold the end where the screw goes through it with a pliers or put it in a vise, then just bend it back the other way a little. Screw the clip back on the knife and see how you did. If it's too tight bend it out a little while it's still attached to the knife, if it's still too loose take it off and bend it a little harder. Do a little at a time and you shouldn't have any trouble

+1 on the bending. Titanium is a metal which can be bent many times without breaking. You can bend it back without any worry as to the structural integrity of the clip. There is no need to spend $30 on a new one.

yep easy fix,i have bent several in my days, try pliers or a vice, cover it with a cloth so it does not bite into the ti,go slow, good luck............

havent done it yet on my seby but ive bent clips on a few other knives. I did break a mini skirmish clip but BM sent me a new one free of charge which was cool

It happened to my spyderco a while back. I placed a pen under the clip and bend it down. Or was it a pencil....try a pencil or a stick you can whittle to the right size place under clip and bend.

If its just a bit loose rather than actually deformed you can just bend it back with your fingers.
You might not even have to take it off the knife, those clips do have a good bit of flex to them so just try pressing it down.

I broke the clip on my '97 lg regular Sebbie a while back. CRK sent a replacement, no questions asked.

Took the clip off and bent it just a smidge with a SOG multitool. Appears to have worked like a charm.
I've had a few steel clips that worked this way, but also a few that just didn't seem fixable. Titanium is definitely the way to go with pocket clips.

Thanks again for the help folks - this forum can save a guy a lot of money.

This happened to my Umnumzaan the end of June, as I was getting out of a church pew I caught and did a pretty good job of bending it. I pulled the clip off and used pliers to fix it. However, the screw kept coming loose and so I used teflon tape and that seemed to do the trick to keep it from getting loose again.

That happened to me, with one of my brand new Dog Paws Sebbies. I called CRK, and ordered a new clip.

I might yet do that down the road, but for now I'm satisfied enough that I have better things to spend my money on. Namely the Umnumzaan :D

Once on a Spiderco. unscrew clip. screw it on again the other way. Bend. screw back on the origional position. It worked just fine and it took seconds. I still have the knife and never had any more problems.
