bent stones?

Hi everyone,I recently purchased two Randalls,a model 28 and a model 26.The stones with these each came in a little plastic bag as the sheaths dont have a pocket on them.

As I was sorting my collection I noticed that both of the stones were bent.

When I put a straight-edge along them, the gap is about an eighth of an inch! One is slightly more bent than the other, but both are nowhere near flat!

I'm not to worried as I wont be using these stones,I prefer my little diamond plate anyway.

Does anyone else have bent stones?

What could I do with these?

Why would they be bent?

Any and all help much appreciated,thankyou.-Jay

Wish I had something to enlighten, but I have never heard of that. I think the stones are man made possibly molded from a grit medium? Bart

I have several stones that are worn from sharpening and it might appear they are bent but really just worn.

Get rich selling 'em on eBay as rare and unique - or, send 'em back to RMK and ask for replacements...

Do you mean this?.
I do not think that is important.
This stone is a #28 recently purchased.

Hi Llasi,
Yep,just like that one!! As to why,who knows!

I'm not to worried as I use a little DMT Diamond plate anyway.

Its not important anyway and like MP says i can send them back or sell them on.

Thanks for the pic._Jay

Just take your diamond stone and under some water.... flatten it back out.

Man made stone very common.
