Got this here FF knife. Previously owned, but unused. Rest of the knife is perfect, but it came delivered w/ a bent tip. I hope you all can see it in the pic. Will basic sharpening be able to take this sort of thing out? I have a DMT Aligner Sharpening Kit, but I haven't used it yet. I don't want to return the knife. I'd just like to fix it and use the heck out of it. What do y'all think?

By the way... this knife was NOT purchased from a Fiddleback Friday sale or the Flea Market.

, I have people bring me knives that are way worse than that all the time and after they're sharp and you can't tell that they were ever damaged

A2 deflects rather than chip. This was probably damaged during shipping. I can fix it for you, or you can sharpen it out. Its really easy for us to fix it to perfect condition. No charge for the repair.

Jerry, thanks for the reference to that thread! It'll prove to be valuable, I'm sure.

Andy, since this is a new-to-me knife, I think I'll take you up on your kind offer. Thanks!

I had a knife that had similar damage to the tip. Andy fixed it and it was like new.

FF knives are my favourite fixed blades not just because they are beautiful functional works of art but also because of the
superb after sales service.

Looks to me like a wicked Burr! Should knock off during the tip repair Andy will do it right.
