I have a Beretta fixed blade knife in a leather sheath and am wondering what it is worth. It is 8" overall and the blade is about 4". It has wood handles and stamped Beretta on one side and Japan on the other. No model number anywhere.

Would anyone have any idea what it is worth? If need be I could take a picture and e-mail it but I have no idea how to post one.

If it isn't worth much I'll keep it and let my 7 yr old carry it this summer.:)

Thanks for any and all help.

Dave

Sounds like you have one of the Pro Guide series. Good knife, with cocobolo handle scales and, I believe, 440C blade. The sheath would be black basketweave, right? When they first came out, they were close to $100 in price, but the market didnt do too well for them. I have one with black micarta, and I havent been able to get $50 for it. I'm not too worried about it, because it is a great little knife, and I dont mind keeping it.

Danbo, I think you might have the knife right but the sheath is brown leather. The knife rides deep in the sheath, over 3/4 covered. Yes it is a very nice well made knife and it was close to $100.00 new.

Oh well, I guess I will just give it to my son sometime. I'm sure he will love it and it will make him a great little first fixed blade to carry on our camping excursions.:)
