I picked up a Berreta knife from Ebay pretty cheaply, ($AUS45), it's a Busfield Series KB145.

You can see it HERE.

Anyone know anything about them? Did I get a bargain?

Hmmm... I guess that means nobody knows.

Maybe I'm the only person on the planet that owns a Beretta knife. ;)

Howdy, those were closed out here in the US for $20-30. From all accounts it's a nice little knife. I handled a SS version when they were new, quality's in the Spyderco range.

Worse I can say is that the design's a bit small if you've got big paws.

I have a Beretta Busfield and really like it. Mine gets as much if not more carry time then my SOG's and I'm a SOG nut. LOL. BTW My Beretta is shown Here.

The knife and a good heft to it, really nice handle, very strong solid lock, really smooth action and strong clip. It's a good quality knife for a good price. Mine was a gift from a friend, so it's extra special. :D

Hope yours brings you as much joy as mine has and continues to give me. Enjoy it!

Yep, I'd mostly agree although mine is somewhat stiff to open. I've hardly used it at all so I'm waiting to see if it loosens up after a bit.

I have a beretta aluminum lockback that I bought when I didn't know anything about knives.

There's nothing wrong with it, it locks up okay (some play)...but its fairly solid. But there's nothing particularly good about it either: low-level steel, unergonomic handles.
There are much better deals in Spyderco's inventory in my opinion.

But I've learned with knives, you should definitely buy what you like...so ignore everything I said. :)

Are you going to do a little personal surgery with this one, or is this function reserved for Sabenza's only!! :)

Until recently, I carried that same model (micarta handles, trailing point), and I loved it. My only complaint was with the serrations, which I'm not a big fan of in general. I'm still hoping to recover that knife, which has been missing for some time, but my soon-to-arrive Calypso Jr. should ease my pain. ;)

BTW, that stiffness should go away with a bit of use, if mine was any indication.

Yes, thank you Stockman!

I'll reserve the self mutilation for the Sebenza. If I'm going to slice myself up I might as well use the best tool available!

If you wash the knife in warm soapy water then lub it afterwards it should be really smooth. Mine was a little stiff at first, but now it's perfect. Am wearing it again today. :) Can open it left handed and I have a weak left thumb do to surgery. Great knife! Good luck with yours,
